Lisa Milroy
It is a brute of a painting: bold and challenging. It dates from 2004-05 and bears the title Black and White. Consisting of 12 panels, it stretches over a total length of 20.4 meters (22.3 yards). The picture shows one large space into which studio, living area, workspace and strage flow together. It certainly counts among the central works of an artist who has been facing the challenges of painting for more than twenty years.

They undertook those journeys to encounter another reality (how many Eminhway's works are set in Europe!) but also another aesthetic. (view more...)
