Swedish Director, Ingmar Bergman, Dies At 89
One of the greatest filmmakers in cinema history, Ingmar Bergman, died yesterday at his home on an island off the coast of Sweden. He was 89. As a director, Bergman favored intuition over intellect, and chose to be unaggressive in dealing with actors. Bergman saw himself as having a great responsibility toward them, viewing them as collaborators often in a psychologically vulnerable position. He stated that a director must be both honest and supportive in order to allow others their best work.

Brazil Beats Argentina in Copa America Final
In a classic match the favourite team is not always the winner. Argentina, once again, lost 3-0 against its classic rival Brazil. This is the 8th Copa America for the Brazilians. The 2007 version of the Copa America took place in Venezuela with Chavez as an usual fan in Venezuela´s games. Ex-player and rookie manager, Dunga (who was very critized for the way Brazil was playing) planned a very tactic game where he neutralized key elements of the Argentine team such as Riquelme, Tevez, and Messi. Dunga also took advantage of the usual errors in defense that were present through all the Copa America in spite of the 5 games won in a row by Argentina.
