Mazda Hybrid Gains Government Approval For Road Testing in Japan
Mazda Motor Corporation received permission from Japan’s Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) to test the Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid minivan on public roads. Mazda’s newest hydrogen rotary engine vehicle features a hybrid system that increases the vehicle’s power by 40 percent and doubles the hydrogen fuel range to 200 kilometers. Mazda aims to complete the road trials and start commercial leasing in Japan during fiscal year 2008. The Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid is the world’s first hydrogen hybrid car with a dual-fuel system that enables the car to run on either hydrogen or gasoline.

Sales At Mercedes-Benz Up 10 Percent Since Beginning Of The Year
The Mercedes-Benz Cars division - with the brands Mercedes-Benz, AMG, smart, and Maybach - sold a total of 111,100 vehicles in May 2008, a decrease of four percent from the 116,000 units sold in May 2007. Unit sales over the first five months of the year rose ten percent at the division, however, reaching the new record level of 548,800 vehicles (January-May 2007: 500,500).

Apple introduced the new iPhone 3G, combining all the revolutionary features of iPhone with 3G networking that is twice as fast as the first generation iPhone, built-in GPS for expanded location based mobile services, and iPhone 2.0 software which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs the hundreds of third party applications already built with the recently released iPhone SDK. Japan's First Watch Show, TWF To Be Launched In 2009

Porsche Shows Strong Development In North America
Despite the rather sluggish economy, Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, once again achieved a good sales result in the USA and Canada in May 2008. Out of the total number of vehicles delivered to the region of 3,004 units in the month under report, 2,796 went to the USA and 208 to Canada. While this is a decrease overall in North America of 17 per cent year-on-year, the previous year’s figure was the highest sales figure in May ever achieved by Porsche in North America.
