National Space Society Space Settlement Art Contest
The National Space Society is sponsoring an art contest in which artists
are to create visions of a spacefaring future - a future of space
settlement, be they on the Moon, on Mars, on asteroids, or orbiting
independently in space. Twelve winning entries will be chosen to
illustrate the NSS 2008 Space Settlement Calendar.

Aston Martin on "Fire and Ice"
Visitors to the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit will discover a new
edge to Aston Martin's ongoing reinvention. The company will be creating an art installation, a
collaboration between world renowned automotive photographer René Staud and the eagerly awaited
Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster.

Pipilotti Rist Accepts The Armory Show 2007 Artist Commission
Artist Pipilotti Rist has accepted the commission to create the visual identity for The Armory Show
2007, The International Fair of New Art. Rist is the sixth artist to define the image of the fair,
which has become the world's preeminent showcase for new art by living artists. For the ninth
edition of The Armory Show, which will be held February 23-26, 2007 in New York City, images from
Rist's audio video installations will dominate the visual materials.

MAC @ MAM
Ella Fontanals-Cisneros, founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Miami Art Central (MAC) and
Aaron Podhurst, Chair of the Miami Art Museum (MAM), today announced the institutions are combining
resources to form "MAC @ MAM." The agreement, which is effective immediately, states that MAC will
produce significant original exhibitions and programs at MAM, adding to the latter’s ongoing educational
and exhibition programs.

With 14 art fairs taking place in the City of Miami, one of the them where everyone should go
is Photo Miami. Located in the SOHO Building in Wynwood Art District (blocks away from Pulse
and Scope), the fair is not worried by all the competition sorrounding them. They know they

New Institute of Contemporary Art to open on Sunday
The new Institute of Contemporary Art designed by Diller Scofidio & Renfro of New
York will open its doors on December 10 with the exhibition "Super Vision". According
to Director Jill Medvedow, the museum brings together the cultural and natural resources
of the city.

VIP Collectors Madness: Almost every art work is sold
Yesterday's specially invited VIP collectors of Art Basel Miami Beach was a complete success with many galleries
selling almost all their art works. 200 galleries representing more than 2,000 artists from around the world
are making more art sales than with any other American art fair. It is expected about 40,000 visitors to
assist to the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Art Basel Miami Beach officially began with party at the MOCA
I know that maybe you are feeling the same way. Art Basel Miami Beach is everywhere. If you go
for dinner, a cup of coffee or just walking your dog, your hear the same conversation: "Are
you going to Art Basel?" or for Miami residents: "Which party are you going?" But we can't
help it, it is a very important art fair, specially for Latin American art collectors.

James N. Wood is the new Getty Trust president
Mr. James N. Wood (65) was named president and chief executive officer of the J. Paul Getty Trust,
the wealthy Los Angeles cultural and philanthropic institution that has been under a thick
ethical cloud for a few years. Wood is an art historian and former longtime chief of the Art
Institute of Chicago. Getty officials announced this today and precise that Wood will start
his work in February.
