Police Recovers Munch´s Stolen Paintings
Two masterpieces by Edvard Munch, "The Scream" and "Madonna" were recovered today after being stolen two years ago from the Munch Museum. Fortunately, the paintings were in better conditions than expected.

Anish Kapoor´s "Sky Mirror" in New York City
British leading sculptor, Anish Kapoor, will display next month his temporary artwork "Sky Mirror" in New York´s Rockefeller Centre. The sculpture is almost three-stories-tall highly reflective stainless and is being polished and finished in Oakland, California.

Iran exhibits Anti-American cartoons
The Palestinian Contemporary Art Museum in central Tehran has a show named "Holocaust International Cartoon Contest" or "Holocust" but the content has almost nothing to do with the Nazi Germany. More than 200 cartoons will be in exhibition this month until the middle of September.

Russia´s government against art theft
President Vladimir Putin ordered an urgent inventory of all state museums and archives after the US$5 million theft of artworks from Russia´s Hermitage Museum was discovered. In that occasion, a curator was the responsible for selling artefacts during years.

Kirchner´s "Berliner Strassenszene" to be auctioned
Just a week after Germany returned a Ernst Ludwig Kirchner painting to the descendants of its original Jewish owners, the family has put the expressionist artwork up for sale, expected to raise up to US$25 million at auction at its Rockefeller Center office in New York on November 08.

Acclaimed artist and lecturer, Mr. Richard Dunlop, was charged yesterday with stealing 1281 pieces of artwork over the past 13 years by recognized Australian artists. This artworks are worth US$ 2.6 million in paintings.
