Partnership Between National Gallery And Tate Extended For 10 Years
Following recent discussions, the National Gallery and Tate have agreed that the principles governing the historical boundaries of their two collections, which were put in place in 1996, should continue to apply for another 10 years from 2009. The two institutions agree that they should work together in the national and public interests.

New Members Appointed To Kentucky Arts Council Board
The Kentucky Arts Council is please to announce the appointment of two new board membersJayne Moore Waldrop and Dr. Nicholas Kouns, both of Lexington. Waldrop was most recently an adjunct instructor at the University of Louisville and was previously an attorney in private practice. She has served as board chair of Stage One Children's Theatre, board member of the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft and on the board of the KET Greater Louisville Regional Advisory Board. Waldrop is also a painter.

A Giant White Horse Chosen As New £2m Art Commission
Mark Wallinger's winning proposal is for a 50 metre high white horse, standing on all four hooves at 33 times life-size. Sited to stand prominently at Springhead Park, the Horse will overlook Ebbsfleet Valley, Ebbsfleet International station and be adjacent to the busy A2 trunk road. The sculpture will be seen by up to 60 million people per year.

MoMA Acquires The Gilbert And Lila Silverman Collection Of Fluxus Art
The Museum of Modern Art has acquired the Gilbert and Lila Silverman Fluxus Collection, widely considered the largest and most important of its kind in the world, MoMA Director Glenn D. Lowry announced. The collection, which was assembled in Detroit over three decades by the Silvermans, comprises approximately 3,000 works in mediums ranging from printed ephemera, multiples, drawings, and sculptural objects, to photographs and film. In addition, an archival component includes more than 4,000 files with such items as artists’ correspondence, notebooks and scrapbooks, as well as documents and photographs related to Fluxus performances and events.

The National Galleries of Scotland(NGS) and the National Gallery, London (NGL) are delighted to announce that Titian's "Diana and Actaeon" has been acquired for the nation from the Duke of Sutherland. The acquisition has been made possible with the generous contributions from private and public donations, Scottish Government, the National Heritage Memorial Fund, The Monument Trust, The Art Fund charity and NGL and NGS funds.
